Barron Gilchrist

Barron Gilchrist is a licensed electrical contractor, commercial construction professional, and a member of the Board of Directors for the Greater Charlotte Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC). As the Owner and President of R-MAR Electric, Barron brings over two decades of hands-on industry expertise to the board, overseeing complex residential and commercial electrical infrastructure projects across the Carolinas. Within the GCIEC, he is particularly passionate about championing the apprenticeship program, dedicating his efforts to workforce development and mentoring the next generation of skilled independent contractors.

An electrician and builder by trade, Barron’s commitment to technical precision extends well beyond the job site. When he isn't managing commercial projects, he is an avid mechanical enthusiast who specializes in the precision restoration of vintage BMWs, handles custom fabrication, and enjoys dirt bike riding and RV camping with his family.
